Easily the best attorney
Hey. Did you do something dumb? Do you have absolutely zero information about the legal process? Do you want an attorney that seemingly does this for sport and probably won’t sleep until your life is back? Well then I highly recommend the attorney equivalent of an alligator wrestler: Jeremy Saland. That’s what I did! I was facing a class B felony and potentially tens of thousands in fines and some legit jail time and after hiring Jeremy Saland he obviously struck enough fear into the prosecutors with his sheer litigation might that it was knocked down to a petty misdemeanor and after a few sheckles and a handful of counseling sessions, I will no longer have a criminal record.
The offices of Saland Law are the Shaq and Kobe of criminal defense in New York City and to even consider another firm is outright blasphemy.
I stand by this statement 100%

Against the odds
In the midst of my divorce proceedings my husband accused me of assaulting him in front of my children. When the police came they arrested me because the law mandates arrests in domestic violence allegations even though my husband lied.
My matrimonial attorney got ahold of Jeremy and he was immediately available to move me through the system and get me out. One of his colleagues even convinced the judge to issue a limited order of protection to allow me back home despite the DA's request.
Jeremy ultimately got me in front the the ADA and her supervisor to tell them what really happened. After our meeting and other work by Jeremy the DA dismissed the entire case even over my husband's objection.
Jeremy was kind and considerate. He not only got the case dismissed but he was supportive and communicative the entire time.

Hiring Jeremy was the best decision I could have made
I retained Jeremy after I was arrested for possession of cocaine and charged with PL 220.03. My friend had cocaine but I did not but the police arrested us both. When I saw the judge, the prosecutor said I admitted to possessing the cocaine. This was absolutely false.
I came back to court and rejected the DA offer a second time and before my third court date the DA dismissed the case after Jeremy convinced them I never had drugs and we could beat the case at trial. Even though it was the policeman's word over mine we got the DA to listen.

More than What You Expect
I found Jeremy online and met him for a consultation after I was assigned a legal aid attorney who basically gave me a bleak outlook for my case and gave me little to no faith that he could help me. The father of my children accused me of assaulting him and harassing him on the phone. The inanity of the situation was magnified after the police arrested me for trespassing at my own home where I raise our children. It is horribly scary when you are the victim of abuse and the police arrest you.
Jeremy treated me just as I read in the reviews. He was respectful and caring. Equally important (if not more!), he agreed to take my case pro bono and really fought hard for me. He brought me to meet with the ADA for something called a Queen for a Day and I told them my story. He collected the evidence and made a package for them proving my innocence. Jeremy went to court multiple times too.
After some hard work from Jeremy and patience on my end, the DA’s Office dismissed the charges. Just like it has always been, my record is clean. I have always looked out for myself and did everything on my own from getting a GED to a masters degree, but I am grateful Jeremy was willing to trust me and work for me. I was innocent and he made sure the DA knew it too.

Jeremy saved my life
I was arrested for shoplifting more then 3,000 worth in NYC. Even worst, this wasn't my first time, or my second. I had already went to prison for shoplifting felonies and was currently on parole for one of those times. When I first saw the judge, my attorney told me that it was likely I was going to go to prison because I was a predicate felon Conviction was a minimum of two to four years. An indictment was likely coming. I decided to get a new criminal lawyer who I believed would fight for me. I have made many mistakes and I have shoplifted before, but I needed help to get better and stop the cycle for my sake and my children. I have a job, pay my own way and take care of my kids. Jeremy listened to me. Jeremy really fought for me. Jeremy was concerned about me and my family. He saw the big picture. As he said to the DA, she could put me in prison but I'd be out in two to four years without a job and my children would be without a mother. We would all become products of the system. Everyone would lose. Jeremy convinced the DA to allow me to plea to a misdemeanor and remain in counseling to address addictive disorders and other mental health issues. If I did not get arrested, remained with my councelor for treatment and stay employed, I could later take back the misdemeanor and get a violation. In other words, no prison, no felony, no misdemeanor and no additional crime on my record. I keep my job and my children. I have promised myself to get better for my children and just for myself. It took someone to believe in me to be willing to go to battle and win. Nobody did before. Jeremy is more than a criminal defense lawyer. He's smart. He listens. He cares. He is giving me a chance to change my life. Result aside, his dedication and service was priceless.

A Great, Great Lawyer
Jeremy Saland saved me from a blatant lie and fabrication by my former wife. I was arrested for numerous felonies including Kidnapping and Stalking. The DA "offered" me ten years in prison at one point and I was looking at five to twenty five years if I was convicted. My ex claimed I abducted her at knife point. There was even a witness who claimed that she heard me threaten to kill my ex's family. Although there was no knife recovered by the police I did have rope, duct tape and zip ties in my car.
Instead of the DA's Office doing a thorough investigation, Jeremy did. Despite my ex saying she wanted no contact with me, had not been to our old apartment and did not expect me to show up at her house, Jeremy got my landlord to testify at trial that he saw her at the house multiple times a week and more before, heard her ask me to come over to move furniture and saw me using the rope and tape on furniture in my car when I was moving it. We even found old texts with her acknowledging she had sex with me the week before the arrest.
I was terrified, but Jeremy was communicative, patient and on top the case. After a two week trial the DA dropped the felony Stalking charge because Jeremy discredited my ex and her witnesses. I testified and Jeremy prepared me. Within about two hours after summations the jury acquitted me of everything.
My life and freedom was on the line but I refused to plead to anything. I did nothing wrong. You do not know fear until you are in this type of situation. Jeremy believed me and stood by me. Even more important, Jeremy had the skill to convince the jury of that as well. I cannot thank him enough for protecting me - an innocent man

Top notch, second to none!
December 17, 2013 changed how I look at life forever. I was all excited to fly back to Saint Louis to visit my family and freinds for 3 weeks. Little did I know that when I checked into Delta Airlies at LGA I would be charged with 2 Violent Felonies facing 2 years in State Prison. Charged with unlawful possesion of a firearm and high capacity clips, a Class C and Class D Felony.
On The prior Sunday I called Delta Airlines and explained that I was from Missouri and wanted to bring my firearm back to Missouri. I asked what the procedure was and would I get in any trouble? The Delta Rep said "No Problem, just place it in a hard case locked, keep the key with you, and declare it when you get to the airline". I did as she suggested, arrested on spot by Port Authority and later taken to Queens Central Booking. Spent around 14 hours total between both jails, Queens Jail is a place that you never want to visit. My mind was racing there, had no idea what was going on and where I was going next. My father and I spoke earlier that day and he did some research online from Missouri and found Crotty and Saland. Jeff Davis came to the jail and got me in front of the Judge that night and released on R and R. Jeff even took me to find a taxi and made sure I was getting home safely. I was scared to death to say the least. But Jeremy was great, kept me calm the entire time reassuring me everything was going to be okay. He was right, not only did Jeremy get the felony charges reduced, I have no Criminal Record. I was offered a small fine and a Non-Criminal Violation. If you are faced with any Weapons charge Crotty and Saland is the Firm you want in your corner. They fight and dont let up.

I was in immediate need of a criminal attorney due an unfortunate event occurring at JFK International Airport during September 2012. I was exceptionally pleased with the services provided by the law firm of Saland Law, which included the services of Jeremy Saland. He was extremely responsive to my immediate situation, professional in all respects during their representation, communicated exceptionally well throughout the legal proceedings, and were tremendously proficient in their knowledge of my particular circumstance. As a result, they were able to get a misdemeanor and felony charge completely dismissed. I could not be more pleased with their services and professionalism. Case Details During September 2012, I arrived at United Airlines First Class counter at JFK to check my luggage and obtain a boarding pass to San Francisco.
I had arrived in NYC from another destination two days earlier and was carrying, in my checked luggage, an unloaded semi automatic handgun. I had been through several airports prior to the NY trip and had disclosed the handgun to airline officials and TSA, as is required under both United Airlines and TSA policies on their respective websites. As an avid target shooter, I frequently carry a handgun on business trips in order to mix business with my passion. In all such previous trips, and through multiple airports throughout the country, I have never experienced ANY incident or dispute with an airline or TSA. I disclosed the firearm to the ticket agent who, instead of notifying TSA, notified the Port Authority. Several officers from the Port Authority Police showed up and, after some discussion, arrested me for 1) having an unlicensed handgun in NYC – a misdemeanor, (I was visiting the state, not living there), and 2) carrying a concealed weapon – a felony (it was in a locked/hard sided case in my checked baggage, and properly disclosed to the United). The actions of the ticket agent and United Airlines were disgraceful. As a United Million-Mile flyer and a lifetime Premier Executive flyer, I will never fly United again.
It should be noted, as a business executive at 59 years of age, with both an undergraduate business and MBA degree, I have never been arrested, and only two minor traffic citations issued during my entire life. I was transported to the PA Police facility at JFK and held there for five hours while they processed paperwork. I was then transported to the Queens County Courthouse Detention Facility for arraignment where I was informed it was taking approximately 48 hours for processing and arraignment of “prisoners”. I was fortunately able to connect with Saland Law located in NYC. Jeremy Saland was immediately responsive to my situation. Faced with the prospect of me languishing in the filthy confines of the Queens Detention Facility for 48 hours, I needed a firm that would be able to immediately get an arraignment time set. Saland Law was engaged to represent me. Jeremy Saland was successful in getting the Court Clerk to set the arraignment for 1 AM that night (crime is good in Queens).
Not only did Saland Law get me released effectively two days early, Jeremy Saland drove to the Queens County Court for the arraignment. When Jeremy Saland arrived at the Detention Facility, he was on crutches having undergone surgery on his knee. He made the effort to drive down at 1 AM to manage the arraignment, and did so having to deal with a significant medical issue. After two subsequently appearances (eight weeks in duration), Jeremy Saland was successful at getting both charges entirely dismissed. The dedication, professionalism, personalization and communication were exceptional. I would, without hesitation, recommend the firm of Saland Law, and the principal Jeremy Saland, to any individual in need of a criminal defense.

Best defender in NYC
I am a 70 year old physician from the upper Midwest. I was in NYC for a medical meeting and when leaving via LaGuardia I was surprised when my carry on case was found to have a single 9 mm bullet under the lining by the internal supports for the wheel. I knew NYC laws were rather draconian and would never have taken a weapon there.
I had, a year and a half earlier, carried some boxes of 9mm ammo in the case while attending a training course in Nevada. Since that time I had traveled in the USA and twice to foreign counties and no one had ever noted the bullet when the case passed through the screening X-ray. I was issued a summons and was amazed at the potential fine for a bullet I did not know was in the case. I asked my home attorney to help locate a legal counsellor in NYC. Jeremy Saland was highly recommended. I first contacted him on a weekend day by email and got a reply that day. We spoke on the phone and by email and he.was very knowledgable and quite reassuring. He lived up to the high recommendation and was successful in getting an ACD resolution . I recommend him without reservation.

Who knew a legal experience could be pleasant?
From the moment I contacted Jeremy Saland he inspired trust and confidence. His honesty and extensive knowledge about the court process made me feel like I was in good hands. He helped make a stressful and difficult experience more manageable and tolerable by clearly informing me on the legal steps we had to take and knowing exactly what to expect for our day in court. Thank you for your professionalism and help Jeremy! I will be eternally grateful.

Excellent lawyer for criminal defense
I would highly recommend using the services of Jeremy Saland if you are faced with a legal problem. From the start, Jeremy was very responsive and promptly replied to my requests for information. Jeremy was able to advance my case, get me a dismissal, and have the case sealed after the next four months (the timeframe for sealing in my case is usually a year). Having the case sealed in a timely manner was critical, as my license renewal comes up in five months. Besides accomplishing all of the above, Jeremy was able to handle the matter without the need for me to actually appear in court.
As this was my first brush with the law, Jeremy was very patient with me, explaining clearly the process, and then accomplishing the outcome that I hoped for. I would recommend Jeremy to anyone, but particularly healthcare and other professionals who have highly sensitive jobs that require excellent legal representation with discretion.

Excellent & Reliable Lawyer
I was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny. I was filmed on surveillance camera and the police was trying to find me for several days.
Before surrounding to the police, I consulted Mr.Saland and hired him immediately, feeling that he would handle the case appropriately and with a positive outcome for me. He explained very clear and precise the process of such charges and made me very well ware of the negative implications for my pending Naturalization Oath Ceremony, but also analyzed the case in a way that made me feel comfortable that he could solve it without further complications for my future.
The moment I hired him , he was already on the phone talking to the police and arranging a time for my surrounding.
Although I had to spend the night in prison/ tombs he was able to set me free the next morning without bail. A court date was set for August but he was able to negotiate with the DA and after only three weeks I had to appear before court, pay a restitution fine and was sentenced with an ACD for a period of 6 months.
I can highly recommend Mr. Saland and Ms.Crotty , both were very professional and very engaged in my case.
